Aquarium of the Bay is a public aquarium located at Embarcadero and Beach Street, at the edge of PIER 39 in San Francisco. The Aquarium of the Bay is home to approximately 20,000 animals that are found in the bay and along the California coastline, including native sevengill sharks, grand bat rays, giant Pacific octopuses, an array of jellies, and North American river otters. The Aquarium of the Bay boasts two magnificent crystal clear tunnels to watch San Francisco Bay’s most amazing animals swim overhead.
