City Hall
  • San Francisco City Loop

The City Hall of San Francisco is one of the United States’ most magnificent Beaux-Arts buildings and it is located in the Civic Center of San Francisco. The City Hall stands out for its dome which is the fifth largest in the world. The current building replaced the Old City Hall because it was destroyed by the disastrous earthquake of 1906, just 27 years after of its construction. The current City Hall, constructed between 1913 and 1915, uses many classical design elements like the portico and Doric columns.
