Painted Ladies

Painted Ladies
  • San Francisco City Loop

The famous Painted Ladies of San Francisco are a row of colourful Victorian houses located at 710-720 Steiner Street, across from Alamo Square Park in the Haight-Ashbury neighbourhood. These Victorian-style houses are one of the thousands built in San Francisco between 1892 and 1896. Painted Ladies is a term in American architecture used for Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more colours that embellish or enhance their architectural details. Stopping at Haight-Ashbury you must admire the Painted Ladies.
